About Us

Community First is a registered charity (288117) based in Devizes, Wiltshire and a member of the Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) network. We support people, places and communities in Wiltshire and Swindon.

Our Patron is Her Majesty The Queen.

Minibus Driver (MiDAS) Training

Community First is an approved MiDAS training provider delivering MiDAS training in Wiltshire and the surrounding counties.

We work with:

  • Schools and colleges
  • Local councils
  • Local authorities
  • Charities and voluntary groups
  • Youth and sports clubs
  • Businesses

And any other organisation which operates one or more minibuses.

Whether you are a teacher, youth club leader, business employee or volunteer, MiDAS training is for anyone who transports passengers in a minibus as part of their role.

We offer MiDAS Standard (core training) and MiDAS Accessible as a follow-on course for those who transport wheelchair users.

The core training includes a theory and practical assessment.

Training is delivered at your place of work by one of our MiDAS instructors using one of your vehicles (unless other arrangements are agreed.)
